Policy Violation Assessment

Our assessors evaluate the degree of involvement in alcohol or other drug use by adolescents who may have violated school policy, underage drinking laws, parental rules or other indicators of substance use. The BASICS program is used for brief alcohol screening and intervention for college students.

Format: One or two interviews

Effectiveness: BASICS is a SAMHSA Model Program which has been documented to:

  • Reduce the adverse effects of alcohol consumption
  • Promote reduced drinking
  • Promote healthier choices among young adults
  • Provide important information and coping skills for risk reduction
